About Avery

Avery OttoAvery is dedicated to helping each client find new levels of health and well being through relaxation.

She has been in private practice for more than 15 years. In 2014, she went to McKinnon Body Center and got re-certified as a massage professional. Avery was the first massage therapist to provide sports massage for the athletes of the World Clay Court Tennis Championships in Birmingham, AL.

She has conducted a course in complementary/alternative health care for the Samford School of Nursing where Professor of Nursing Sharron Schlosser reported that the “students were quite satisfied and felt that they had learned a .great deal.”

As an executive director of a non-profit caregiver resource center, The People Place, Avery has educated caregivers from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the National Multiple Scherosis Society, and the American Cancer Society about the benefits of massage therapy.
